Look at Jess go! Looks like she’s enjoying her run after all your rain. What are those fancy gates around? And where is the third photo of?

    • Vince says:

The gates are to this place http://www.woodhouseestate.com/index.htm. If you have a spare €8,000,000.00 spondulicks, it is for sale.

If you click the size numbers under the title you will bring up the Mine Head peninsulas light house.

And OH the utter joy that the dog has at the beach is a true delight to see. You can almost hear the Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee as she zooms up down in out over back. If she could somersault she would.

      • Kimberly says:

Just shy a few spondulicks. Darn it! :). The grounds are beautiful though.
The best part of that kind of running is bringing them home worn out.

I’d say it’s one of those places that’s a hole to pour money into. But yes it is in a very lovely spot. The valley either side is quite steep, and wooded.

Yeah, that region beyond tuckered into flaked, out. On the mountain these days she’s not allowed free rein as there are flocks pasturing. So I don’t really have that head down trailing me, utterly exhausted and happy.

Your dog appears to be in heaven!

Wow – those photos of Jess are wonderful!! I love them! We have a new puppy. That makes dog number seven. *sigh*

    • Vince says:

      Oh that’s great to hear.
I’m kinda half plotting that myself. But a younger dog than Belle. Then Jess’s nose won’t be so out of joint. Maybe.

Taking at the coast was far harder than I thought. But I think that one where she is bounding to me is the very best I’ve done.

Lovely photos of Jess having good doggie fun do the heart good! I’m very glad you are the sort of owner who really knows what a dog needs – to run!
I was watching an episode of George Gently (another really good inspector series – have you seen it?) and noticed in the credits that it is filmed in Ireland, although it takes place in Northumberland. I suppose Northumberland is too crowded now to look like itself in the 60’s when the show is set.
I hope someone with cash can buy that beautiful money-pit!

    • Vince says:

I never really got into the George Gently series. There is something constipated about it. But there are a lot of TV stuff filmed here, and from both the US and the UK. Odd stuff you’d never thing.

A lot of that style of building has a global appeal. But I reckon it’s vastly overvalued. As a Country House Hotel with a Spa and room for a few weddings a week. It would need to be twice the size to cover even minimal staffing. And this in a market where there are a huge number of room nights in oversupply. Most of it sitting in that precise slot.

It’s better for her in winter. There are far fewer people about and those that are are doggy people themselves. But it really is a delight to see her fly.

      • Rebecca S. says:

Constipated…really. Well, maybe that was the 60’s, just before the ‘floodgates’ opened on society 😉 What I like about the show is how Gently schools the younger sargeant who is such an arrogant prat, but bright.

A lot of real estate is overvalued in my opinion. I see that estate as a nice place for some rock star or film star to relax in. They might even be able to afford the upkeep of all those horses.

Michael Jackson looked at it before he died. Leastwise the newspapers said so anyway.
