Oldest High Cross

Give the proportions and the placement of the cross, it is impossible to gauge the hight from a photo.But enough to say you can at six feet stand under the cross-arm.

    Old cemeteries are so much more beautiful and interesting than newer ones.

    Yes Jen, so very true. But that High Cross is the Daddy of them all, 6th/early 7th century.

    And Sage, the place is Ahenny in Co.Tipperary, Ireland.
